Jake Ogley was named director of sales for the Courtyard by Marriott in Stuart. Ogley brings more than 18 years of hospitality experience to the Courtyard Stuart team. His most recent position was that of sales and operations manager for the Lake Opechee Inn and Spa in Lakeport, N.H., where he had previously served as the operations manager.

The JW Marriott Hotel Miami appointed Alison Colberg director of social event sales. Prior to her appointment, Colberg served as catering sales manager at Lyon + Lyon, a full-service catering and event planning company in South Florida.

Don Fraser was appointed general manager for the Royal Palm in Miami Beach. Fraser previously served concurrently as Denihan’s corporate director of operations and general manager of Affinia Dumont in New York City. Prior to joining Denihan, Fraser was general manager of Hilton Newark Penn Station in Newark, N.J.

The Bourbon Orleans Hotel named Sherry Walker director of sales. Most recently, Walker was director of sales and marketing for the Chateau Bourbon. Walker’s experience also includes director of sales and marketing positions with the Baton Rouge Marriott and the Best Western Richmond Suites.

Visit Charlotte recently added Lyn Acocella-Bagley as its Chicago-based national sales manager. Formerly senior account executive for Marriott International, Acocella-Bagley will work to book meetings and conventions in Charlotte, facilitate sales account management and serve as a liaison between clients and Visit Charlotte for the Chicago market.

- Nils Stolzlechner will lead the Omni Dallas Hotel as general manager. For the last four years he served as general manager of the Omni Corpus Christi. Prior management positions include director of operations at the Omni San Francisco Hotel and Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza.

With more than 30 years of experience in hotel sales, Terry M. Beutler, CASE, was hired as director of sales at Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center. Beutler was director of group sales at the InterContinental Hotel near Houston’s Galleria for four years and previously held the same position at the Houston Marriott Westchase.
