Choose Chicago has chosen Kristen Reynolds to serve as the organization’s new president and CEO. Reynolds will join Choose Chicago on May 5 and brings over 27 years of experience in destination marketing and tourism advocacy to the role.
"Kristen Reynolds is a proven leader in the tourism industry and we welcome her to Chicago,” Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson said in a press release. “With major global events on the horizon and our city continuing to break tourism records, Kristen’s leadership will be instrumental in strengthening Chicago’s position as a top destination for visitors, conventions and business investment."
Reynolds most recently served as the president and CEO of Discover Long Island where she helped the area experience transformative tourism growth. During her tenure at the organization, she helped increase tourism revenue, spearhead new initiatives for leisure and business markets and strengthened the overall economic development of the region.
Reynolds also serves on the Board of Directors for Destinations International and is the former chair of the New York State Destination Marketing Organizations.
