Union workers at the Hyatt Regency Chicago staged a one-day strike on Monday, June 20, over pay and benefits.
The strike has not caused service disruptions and business is continuing as usual, according to a statement from a Hyatt spokesman.
According to Annemarie Stassel, a spokeswoman for Unite Here Local 1, the strike is addressing “subcontracting and working conditions for housekeepers, which has been a major concern.”
