The Populous architectural firm has been chosen to design a new convention hall over Pico Blvd. to replace the existing West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Work on the new hall, which will provide meeting and exhibit space contiguous with the center's South Hall, is expected to begin in summer 2012. Once the new facility is complete, the West Hall is to be demolished to make way for Farmers Field, a sports and entertainment stadium
