John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts is walking away from completion of the stalled 300-room Renaissance Hotel in Colorado Springs, according to a report in the Colorado Springs Gazette.
Construction was halted two years ago on the hotel, which is to include 50,000 square feet of meeting space, because of financing problems. The property, which is about two-thirds completed, will be sold at a foreclosure sale.
