Chicago Makes Deal to Keep Restaurant Show

The National Restaurant Association announced that it will keep its show in Chicago next year, but will move its dates up two weeks to May 5-8 in order to avoid overlapping with the NATO and G-8 summits also scheduled for McCormick Place that month.

The association made its decision after Chicago convention officials came up with a financial package aimed at reducing some losses that could occur due to the schedule change.
