Mark White informed the Board of Directors of the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority (RSCVA) that he will remain in his current position at Visit Salt Lake. White was selected for appointment as the RSCVA’s President & CEO at a special Board meeting on July 21, 2011.
“It’s unfortunate that Mark has elected to remain at his current position,” said Dwight Dortch, RSCVA Chairman of the Board of Directors. “But, it’s a decision that he feels needed to be made for his family. He has two teenage children, one in high school and one in middle school, and his wife has a successful career as well. You can’t disrespect him for making a decision based on those factors. The RSCVA Board will now have to come together and determine how best to move forward with the search.”
The RSCVA Board of Directors will likely entertain an agenda item at a future meeting that will allow it to take action on the search for a new President & CEO, according to Dortch.
