The Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) released semiannual data that says the exhibition industry out performed the U.S. economy during the first half of 2011.
According to the research, the exhibition industry gained 2.4 percent during the first half of 2011, while the U.S. economy increased by 1.9 percent during the same period.
According to CEIR economist Allen Shaw, growth is expected to continue throughout the year. The data will be part of scheduled discussions at the upcoming CEIR economic outlook conference scheduled for Sept. 15 in New York.
