Benchmark Hospitality International named Alex Cabañas president, business development and finance, for the U.S.-based hospitality management company.
Alex Cabañas was previously chief development officer for Benchmark Hospitality International. During his tenure, Benchmark added 13 properties to its management portfolio and expanded into South America. The company also acquired MTM Luxury Lodging, which led to the launch of the hospitality industry's newest luxury brand, Personal Luxury Resorts & HotelsSM.

Prior to joining Benchmark in 2006, Cabañas was part of the global team with Boston Consulting Group, based in their Dallas office for six years.
