Hilton Worldwide signed a franchise agreement with Grupo Hotelero Santa Fe to operate a new hotel that will be the first Hilton property in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Scheduled to open in spring 2012, the Hilton Puerto Vallarta Resort will be located close to Puerto Vallarta International Airport and the cruise ship terminal. It will offer 259 guest rooms, five dining options and meeting space that will include three conference rooms and a ballroom seating up to 600 people for a banquet.
The property will also have an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center and a business center.
According to Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the new hotel is part of Hilton’s plan for rapid expansion in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America.
