Marriott Hotels & Resorts has unveiled the newly renovated New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square. A focus of the major upgrade is the brand’s reinvented lobby, including two signature restaurants and lounges. The makeover includes the hotel’s nearly 2,000 guest rooms and a brand-new, high-tech ballroom.
The new restaurant and lounge, Crossroads, features a two-story mirrored spiral bar encircled with 11 high-definition television screens and surrounded by sofas and armchairs. The new Broadway Lounge shows off two-story arched glass windows, providing guests panoramic views of Times Square, and multi-level seating offers guests plenty of choices.
The glamorous Broadway Ballroom seats up to 2,400, with programmable chandeliers that offer thousands of choices, with color-changing LED technology. The overall renovation will include all guest rooms, restaurants, lounges and public areas and will cost approximately $39 million.
