Caesars Entertainment Corporation broke ground on the Caesars Palace Longmu Bay in Hainan China, the first major venture of its non-gaming Caesars Global Life division.
The 1,000-room Caesars Palace Longmu Bay is aiming for five-star status and is scheduled to open in 2014.
Caesars Palace Longmu Bay will offer 36 holes of championship golf. The resort will also include a marina, spa, retail and other amenities, all located on China’s only west-facing shoreline, according to Caesars.
The company plans to develop 245 hotels and resorts in China over the next five years.
