DALLAS, TX
Meeting Professionals International yesterday announced the appointment of Danya Casey as its new vice president, events and certification. Casey will lead a new events and Certifications group driving business objectives. This group will assume direct accountability for revenue generation as well as the execution and business performance of the MPI’s live educational events. Casey will join the management team on Oct. 27.
She brings almost 20 years of progressive experience to the position, and she's worked in various industries at associations, cause-related non-profits and for-profit organizations. Her most recent experience was with the Young Presidents’ Organization, where she was master project director, responsible for managing the execution of leading-edge educational seminars and meetings to improve member business performance and YPO profitability. In addition, she created concepts, proposals and budgets for business development projects that were aligned with core knowledge areas. Casey has a master’s of arts degree in human resource development and a bachelor’s of business administration in marketing from the University of Texas. She is pursuing a master’s of liberal studies at Southern Methodist University and is a certified personal branding strategist and a certified professional in learning and performance.
