LAS VEGAS
Fresh from completing a three-year, $1 billion overhaul of its flagship Holiday Inn hotel chain, InterContinental Hotels Group PLC plans to shake up its lagging Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts brand for upscale hotels.
IHG disclosed at its annual conference in Las Vegas this week that it has started a five-year program aimed at bolstering the quality of its Crowne Plaza hotels and focusing them on a specific customer base.
Nearly 400 hotels around the world are part of IHG's Crowne Plaza brand, with 178 of those in North America.
