Event Center on Tap for Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.

The Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau announced that a new event center will be built in the city, and open by fall 2014.  Slated to be built adjacent to the existing convention center and arena, the event center will adding 30,000 square feet of floor space, for a combined total of 132,000 square feet across the entire complex.

The building will feature space for up to 180 ten-by-ten booths for a tradeshow. Discussions also are under way to initiate shuttle service to the Empire Mall district and downtown area, where visitors can shop, dine and take in attractions.

Over 100,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space is available currently at the Sioux Falls Convention Center, while the Sioux Falls Arena provides 8,000 seats. Also part of the complex is a 243-room Sheraton hotel.
