Hilton Hotels Corp. has announced that Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa will open here in summer, 2012. Featuring 215 guest rooms, including eight suites, and 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space the hotle overlooks the Pacific Ocean along Carlsbad State Beach.
The resort also will offer a 5,600-square-foot spa with seven treatment rooms and a private outdoor relaxation area. Operated by Wave Crest Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa sits 10 minutes from Carlsbad's Palomar Airport and 35 minutes from San Diego International Airport. Directly across from the resort is Ponto Beach, known for its white sand and surf breaks.
Nearby are Carlsbad Business Park, as well as award-winning golf courses and the headquarters for both Callaway and TaylorMade golf. San Diego's top attractions are all within a 30-minute drive, including SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, Safari Park and Balboa Park.
