Flanked by the mayor and city council of Gastonia, NC, a crowd of local business owners, event planners, community organizations, arts committees and local residents watched Mayor Jennie Stultz cut the ribbon on the long-awaited 30,000 square-foot, multi-use Gastonia Conference Center. Located in downtown Gastonia, the center is just 15 miles away from Charlotte/Douglas International Airport.
The Center’s design pays homage to the surrounding architecture and heritage of the area and is registered for LEED-Gold certification by the US Green Building Council. The $10,000,000 project is a centerpiece of downtown Gastonia’s revitalization.
With 5,000 square feet of function space, the grand ballroom accommodates over 300 people for banquet seating, or over 400 people for auditorium-style seating. Six breakout rooms totaling more than 3,600 square feet are also available and accommodate groups of 20 to 60 people each.
The facility is designed according to the standards of the International Association of Conference Centers.
