NAPA VALLEY, Calif.
This summer, the Avia hotels in Napa, Calif. and Savannah, Ga. will be re-flagged as Andaz Napa and Andaz Savannah, respectively, according to Hyatt Hotels Corp., of which the Andaz brand is a part. Local architecture and design firms will work to showcase the surrounding areas through their design of the Andaz Lounge in both the Napa and Savannah hotels.
Prior to its conversion to an Andaz hotel, the Avia will undergo a guest room and lobby restoration. When it is reflagged in a few months, the first Andaz hotel in Northern California will offer 141 rooms and suites. The hotel’s signature restaurant and bar will showcase a “Napa-to-table” philosophy, sourcing its produce directly from Northern California.Meeting space at Andaz Napa will be able to accommodate groups of up to 130 in three venues.
The Avia Savannah also will undergo renovations of its 151 guestrooms, before the reflagging. Featuring 2,675 square feet of meeting space, the hotel can host groups of up to 250. The restaurant at Andaz Savannah will serve a market to table menu with a low-country flare.
Avia Savannah will offer rotating art shows that feature works produced by local artists, including those from the renowned Savannah College of Art and Design.
