  • Tuscon’s Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa announced the appointment of David Yamada as general manager, where he will oversee daily resort operations and manage a staff of more than 220. Yamada has more than 25 years of industry experience and comes to Westward Look from Kingston, Jamaica, where he managed the 303-room Wyndham Kingston Hotel.

British Columbia

  • Tourism Whistler named Louise Walker vice president of marketing and strategic planning. Walker first joined Tourism Whistler in 2009 as research manager, and she has worked in international tourism for more than 10 years at companies and organizations throughout the United Kingdom, Spain and Canada. She has experience in website usability and development and has been focused on market analysis and customer insights for Tourism Whistler.

California

  • Paul Howe joined ALHI as national sales manager in the West U.S. Region, where he will provide services and support to association executives, convention specialists, business leaders and other industry professionals. Howe will focus on business development in Northern California, Washington and Oregon. He previously served as national sales manager at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Colorado

  • Benchmark Hospitality named Colleen Pace director of sales for Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs. Pace returned to Cheyenne Mountain Resort, where she previously served as director of account management. She most recently worked as director of group sales for Vail Cascade Resort & Spa in Vail. She is a member of the Colorado Society of Association Executives and the Destination Colorado Association.
  • Kinsley Meetings, a full-service meetings and events management company based in Littleton, announced the hire of Kim Jordan as vice president of sales and development. She has 20 years of experience working in incentive solutions and meeting programs.

Nevada

  • Gigi Vega was named general manager at Nobu Hotel, opening this fall in Las Vegas. She has 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and joined Caesars Palace in 2009 as vice president of luxury hotel operations.
