W New York has announced the complete redesign of its eight meeting and event spaces, including the hotel’s signature 3,690 square foot Great Room. Inspired by the dualities of the New York landscape—from glamorous grandeur to subtle sophistication—W New York’s 8,508 square feet of renovated function space is meant to reflect the eclectic elements of the city’s diverse spirit.
Each design element offers a subtle nod to iconic Manhattan. Celebrated architectural landmarks appear on the window scrims in each meeting room and a faint shadow of the city’s skyline is visible on the area’s newly carpeted floor.
The Great Room has been reimagined with major updates from floor to ceiling. A new video shows the renovation.
Later this year, the hotel’s Living Room, W’s take on the traditional hotel lobby, will undergo a complete overhaul as well, updating its iconic David Rockwell designed décor.
