SPOKANE, Wash.
Changes could be coming to the Riverbank and Centennial trail near the Spokane Convention Center.
Voters will be asked next month to approve a $65 million bond measure that will add more seats to the Veterans Arena and expand the Spokane Convention Center.
The plan includes some big changes to the area between the convention center and the Spokane River, including the development of a boat access area near the convention center.
Officials want to increase the size of the convention center to attract groups that it's currently losing because they say the convention halls are not big enough. It is not yet clear how much space could be added to the facility.
