What service can you provide to groups that they normally might not receive?
Bespoke guide book tailored for groups, What’s on in London.
What are your bar or nightclub recommendations?
Maddox - Conceptualized by Fred Moss and designed by the Sammy Chams Maddox is a paradise for nightclub rovers. Comprising of a bar, a chic club area, a niche restaurant, primarily serving Italian cuisine and a dazzlingly beautiful courtyard, Maddox has it all. Arguably the hottest nightclub in London, Maddox is located at just a few minutes from oxford circus, right there at the heart of Mayfair. The member’s-only club also accepts guests to dine on the terrace located at the front.
China White - China White features an elaborate and decadent tribute to the principals of Feng Shui. Guests enjoy an adventure as they explore the various rooms. The oriental styles of Bali, Java and Sumatra are fused with a theatrical flair that owes much to the influences of ballet, theatre and film. One of London’s most exclusive clubs.
Rose Club - A glamorous speakeasy bar in a part of London previously famed as the stomping ground of L’Equipe Anglais. The concept of The Rose Club is based around a lifestyle of choice, much more than just a club. The Rose building houses a flower shop on ground level and a chic 300 capacity nightclub with state of the art Funktion One sound system in the basement.
Can you recommend a good place to take a stroll?
Green Park, viewing Buckingham Palace
Stroll to nearby St James Park and bring your lunch on a nice day.
Are there any quirky places we should check out?
Box Night Club – one of London’s top underground VIP scenes can be found here – an infamous cabaret and burlesque club.
What is an unusual request from a group you’ve had?
A small bouquet of blue roses to be in all the rooms
A party of 12 wants to have dinner right away. What restaurant can accommodate last-minute requests of this size?
I would recommend a private event at the hotel’s signature restaurant, THIRTY-SIX, which opened in September 2011. THIRTY-SIX is headed by twice Michelin-starred chef Nigel Mendham, who serves British cuisine with a classical twist. Otherwise Avenue restaurants opposite the hotel, a stunningly beautiful restaurant, with a modern British menu, perfect for business lunches, after-work cocktails or dinners with friends.
What’s a unique event that has taken place at your property?
Marking the 100 year anniversary at the hotel (which dates back to 1908).
