NAPERVILLE, Ill.
The Chicago Marriott Naperville will open this month, following a $30 million dollar rehabilitation included everything from a brand-new central HVAC plant to a modernized great room lobby. Featuing 424 rooms, a 7,000-square-foot ballroom and 25,000 square feet of meeting space, the property is now the largest full-service hotel in Chicago’s western suburbs.
The entire Marriott Naperville was built to achieve LEED-Silver standards and is pursuing LEED Silver certification. Marriott’s environmental practices carry over to the Artisan Table restaurant as well, where locally produced food from sustainable sources will be featured.
Each of the 424 guest rooms are equipped with new Cat6 wired and wireless high speed internet, newly redesigned Marriott "Room That Works," down duvets and Frette linens, and luxurious bathroom amenities from Bath and Body Works. Business travelers will enjoy complimentary transportation to and from nearby local businesses and a full-service business center.
The Marriott will have a few hundred thousand permanent residents at the Naperville location; more than 40,000 Northern Italian bees will occupy beehives. The bees will pollinate the hotel’s gardens and local community, and the honey will be used in the hotel’s food service.
