What service can you provide to groups that they normally might not receive?
Hotel Principe di Savoia has a large parking space in Milan, where large groups arriving in buses can reach the hotel with ease. We also have a private entrance for groups, where they can check-in separately from other guests of the hotel and take advantage of private welcome desks and an area where they can all meet. We also have devised a speedy procedure so all members of the groups can receive their luggage promptly.
What are your bar or nightclub recommendations?
Our Principe Bar is the place to be and be seen. It’s Milan’s iconic watering hole, which was recently redesigned by Thierry Despont. The Bar attracts a crowd of celebrities, fashionistas and locals and is also steeped in its own history of glamour, having hosted icons from Maria Callas to Charlie Chaplain to George Clooney to Beyoncé. If guests prefer go off property, I would recommend Radetzky, N'Ombra De Vin or Just Cavalli, all in the city.
Can you recommend a good place to take a stroll?
The property overlooks Piazza della Repubblica in the city-centre of Milan. It is an easy walk from fashionable boutiques and many symbols of the city, including the Duomo di Milano, the Pinacoteca di Brera art gallery and the world-famouse La Scala opera house. The hotel also offers complimentary transfers in the city center in their Mercedes limousine, where guests can walk to Corso Como, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Brera, Quadrilateral of Fashion, among others.
Are there any quirky places we should check out?
Navigli, which is a system of navigable and interconnected canals around Milan.
What is an unusual request from a group you’ve had?
For one group, we were asked to place a large picture of the president of the company on the mirror in the bathroom of all the guests of the group.
A party of 12 wants to have dinner right away. What restaurant can accommodate last-minute requests of this size?
The party can enjoy to our five-star Acanto restaurant, where Executive Chef Fabrizio Cadei serves a regional culinary menu of Lombardy, or try Cantina Piemontese nearby.
What’s a unique event that has taken place at your property?
A wedding for over 250 people and they decorated the whole area as if they were in a safari.
