PEORIA, Ill.
A developer has taken over the Hotel Pere Marquette and is planning a $23.5 million renovation of the property. Slated to sit adjacent to a 117-room, $14.2 Marriott Courtyard as well as the Peoria Civic Center, the entire complex will feature 401 rooms, making it the largest hotel property in the area.
The Pere will be shutdown during the renovation as the building will be gutted, making it too dangerous to have guests.
A new parking deck will be created at the 284 room Hotel Pere Marquette, while the Marriott Courtyard will feature several taverns.
The complex is slated to open next March.
