Green Globe Certification’s new website, www.greenglobe.travel, provides sustainable hotels, cruise ships, meeting facilities, tour operators and attractions in the world’s most exciting travel locations.
The site delivers businesses in alphabetical order with description, pictures, location and map, contact information and links to booking. Users can also search by property name, country or category. All properties are Green Globe members that are already certified or in the process of being certified for their sustainability achievements.
The website complements Green Globe Certification’s recently introduced Green Globe App for Apple and Android mobile devices, catering to the growing need of travelers for ‘green’ travel options.
All businesses featured on the site meet the highest level of sustainable operations and are rigorously certified under 41 criteria, which have been accepted globally as the definition of sustainable travel and tourism. To complete the certification process they undergo an independent on-site audit to ensure that their sustainability efforts have been thoroughly inspected.
