What service can you provide to groups that they normally might not receive?
Grand Geneva provides Teambuilding Activities for corporate meetings, family reunions or even corporate dinners. This unique teamwork program allows participants to work on group communication through creative completion of certain tasks. We have a well-trained staff to lead groups in a variety of corporate challenges from scavenger hunts and game shows, to rock climbing and customizable group fitness classes.
What are your bar or nightclub recommendations?
We have nightlife options right here on our property, which is a nice option for guests who don’t want to leave the campus. The Red Rockin’ Pianos Duo hosts a Dueling Pianos sing-a-long every Friday night beginning at 8 p.m. In our Evolve Lounge, guests are treated to live music on the weekends from either a local musical talent, or DJ spinning tracks. A great option for couples is Embers Terrace, where you can relax with a cocktail at our beautiful outdoor fireplace overlooking our scenic 1,300 acre property.
If you choose to venture into town, CHAMPS is a great sports bar in downtown Lake Geneva that has indoor and outdoor basketball hoops.
Can you recommend a good place to take a stroll?
The best place to take a stroll would be the Geneva Lake Shorepath. The path takes you down the lakefront, where you pass by these beautiful properties, including some million dollar mansions. There is a wonderful guide book that details the entire 21 mile path and gives you the history of the houses along with the different routes you can take. It’s a very unique opportunity to see these lovely homes and the beautiful crystal clear lake right up close!
(Not for strollers or bikes)
What is an unusual request you have had?
Our head Concierge, William Corey, helped assist a guest in putting up a “Marry Me” sign in lights right on our golf course, in the middle of winter. When the couple entered their room, they looked out the window, our guest popped the question.
Are there any quirky places we should check out?
The Baker House in downtown Lake Geneva is a 100 year old Victorian mansion that serves a tapas-style menu. Servers dress in antique hats and attire and they encourage the customers to wear a hat from their collection of over 100 hats.
A party of 12 wants dinner right away. What restaurant would you recommend?
On campus we have our fabulous Geneva ChopHouse, a well-known steak and seafood restaurant that features indoor and outdoor seating. In addition to a very large dining area, there is also a private dining room that can accommodate 30-40 people. No one will go hungry staying here at the GRAND!
What’s a unique event that has taken place at your property?
Every year we welcome the AMSOIL National Snocross series, and host their final championship snowmobile races. It takes place in March, at the end of the ski year, and we transform our ski hill into a race course for this weekend. For the first time ever, we also hosted the Gladiator Assault Challenge, which transformed our ski hill into a 6.5 mile obstacle course that proved to be very grueling. It also got pretty muddy!
