NEW ORLEANS
The W French Quarter will unveil a new image this summer
inspired by the soul and charm of New Orleans as it transforms the look of its
97 guest rooms, Living Room, restaurant and bar.
The redesigned guest
rooms focus on the artistic energy and the intrigue of the Crescent City,
inspired by jazz and the mystery of tarot.
“Our goal was to infuse the
strong, eclectic culture of New Orleans with the modern, vibrant W character and
weave it throughout our property so our guests feel the energy from the moment
they step into our Living Room to the time of their departure,” said James
Wroblewski, general manager for W Hotels of New Orleans.
The restaurant
is being created by the city’s famed Commander’s Family of Restaurants. Called
SoBou, the new eatery’s tagline is a “Modern Creole Saloon at W French Quarter.”
The hotel’s other restaurant, South of Bourbon Street, will feature an artful
and classic cocktail program, self-serve wine dispensing machines, a beer garden
and a next generation Creole dining experience. The menu will debut Louisiana
street food-inspired small plates paired with cocktail creations and wine
selections.
