The Providence Biltmore, a historic hotel in the heart of downtown, has been sold for $16 million. The hotel boasts 292 rooms and 19,000 square feet of event space—including 18 meeting and banquet rooms and a rooftop ballroom.
New ownership Finard Coventry Hotel Management is planning a $10 million renovation to the 1922 property that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Details of the planned upgrade include a new roof, exterior repairs, and refurbishing of the lobby, ballrooms and meeting rooms, guest rooms, and hallways.
It is anticipated that the project will begin this summer and could require two years to finalize.
