MIAMI BEACH, Fla.
sbe has opened SLS Hotel South Beach, the company’s first hotel on the East Coast. Debuting at the site of the former Ritz Plaza Hotel, the property sits in the last historic Art Deco building of its kind, on the famed Collins Avenue, and is an encore to the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills.
SLS Hotel South Beach is comprised of 140 guest rooms, including ten villas. Designed by creative icon Philippe Starck, SLS Hotel South Beach features a “dream world” theme, blending Latin, Asian, contemporary and art deco influences.
The property offers a meeting room for 80 people and an outdoor space, underneath the villas, that can hold 200 to 300 people. Its restaurants and nightclub will also be available as function space.
SLS South Beach boasts The Bazaar by Jose Andrés, an eatery helmed by celebrity chef and SLS Hotels Culinary Director, José Andrés; and the eighth location of sbe’s Katsuya by Starck brand, in partnership with Master Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi. Hyde Beach, the fourth location of sbe’s nightclub, will soon open as well.
