Mayor Richard Berry’s office will unveil a $20 million redesign of the west end of the Albuquerque Convention Center.
The redesign will turn that portion of the convention center into a space that represents Albuquerque and New Mexico, much like the Albuquerque International Sunport does.
“If nothing was done, I don’t know how much longer we could have been selling the west side," said Dale Lockett, president and CEO of the Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau. "It will take away another barrier to people saying no.
