Plans for an extensive at the Tulsa Marriott Southern Hills have been announced. Slated to start July 16 and finish in early 2013, the update will mainly focus on the lobby.
The public area will get a bold new look and new features, including a space that will serve as a restaurant during the day and a full cocktail bar in the evening. The new spot, named Tallgrass Grille, will include private dining facilities and décor will highlight Oklahoma's Tallgrass Prairie Reserve.
Other design elements will include references to Tulsa's Art Deco influences and the city's intrinsic past with the oil industry.
The hotel features 337 guest rooms and six suites, along with 43,000 square feet of meeting space.
