TORONTO
A real-estate investment company is the latest to make a proposal for a casino in downtown Toronto.
The Toronto Star reports Oxford Properties Group has considered incorporating a casino and entertainment complex as part of its redevelopment plans for the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The company bought part of the convention center last year.
Some potential locations brought up by interested investors, such as MGM Resorts, include city-owned Exhibition Place, Woodbine racetrack, the Port Lands and Downsview Park.
