ORLANDO
The Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate has announced plans to build a new conference center, featuring 46,000 square feet of meeting space. Scheduled to open in January 2013, the addition will bring the resort to more than 100,000 square feet of total meeting space.
The crown jewel of the new convention center will be the 28,800-square-foot ballroom. The ballroom will accommodate up to 150 10’ x10’ exhibits or can break out to eight meeting rooms.
Upon completion, the 720-room Omni Orlando Resort will offer meeting planners and attendees more than 128,000 square feet of indoor event space and an additional 52,000 square feet of outdoor space. Three ballrooms ranging from 20,000 to 28,800 square feet will accommodate the largest of conventions and events. In addition, the property features a total of 46 meeting rooms.
