MINNEAPOLIS
Noble House Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open the new Commons Hotel this coming October. It will be heavily themed around its collegiate ties to the University of Minnesota and industrial history of the Twin Cities.
“The new Commons Hotel is a destination unto itself, fostering a sense of exploration and curiosity among guests by creating an open and inviting environment for travelers to share their passions.” said Mike Benecke, Noble House president.
According to plans for the 304-room property, guests of the Commons Hotel will experience the “perfect mix of geek and chic to satiate every moment’s whims.” There will be “Geek Chic” suites and unique experiences such as an in-room art gallery, alchemist mixology lessons, beakers of local brew, tech “time out,” Harlequin Happy Hour, Sudoku sleep-ins and scholarly shopping shuttle for museum shop hopping.
Meetings and events will be designed to “encourage the inner geek in even the most serious of executives,” with themed geek chic wings, Jenga and spelling bee breaks, secrets of industry lectures, smarties and smart water on meeting tables and the Mad Scientist Break that will engage groups with “experimental” treats. The property is slated to feature over 20,000 square feet of meeting space.
