Construction has begun on the Westin Wilmington Riverfront, which is scheduled to open in early 2014. The full-service hotel is being built in Wilmington, Delaware’s revitalized riverfront, on property adjacent to the Chase Center on the Riverfront, the city’s largest, multi-purpose event facility—featuring 87,000 square feet of meeting space..
The 180 room, LEED-certified hotel will feature 2,000 square feet of function space including a ballroom suitable for meetings or events with up to 200 guests.
A state-of-the-art IMAX Theatre is also under construction in Wilmington’s Riverfront and will be operational by the end of November. The $20 million dollar Penn Cinema IMAX Riverfront will feature 15 full stadium seating auditoriums, including an IMAX theater.
