SAN FRANCISCO
The new Hotel Adagio has raised the curtain, revealing a multi-million-dollar renovation to the iconic Union Square property originally built in 1929. Renovation includes revamped guestrooms, enhanced meeting and event space, and the introduction of new Union Square hotspot The Mortimer.
Each of Hotel Adagio’s 171 guestrooms, penthouse suites and public spaces were enhanced with bold colors and a nod to the surrounding theatre district as part of the redesign. The new, sophisticated restaurant and lobby-level bar, The Mortimer, was designed to appeal to locals and hotel guests alike. In addition, the hotel’s meeting and event space was expanded to 5,500 square feet. The newly refreshed hotel is owned by Maryland-based Chesapeake Lodging Trust and managed by Evolution Hospitality.
Hotel Adagio’s newly restyled guestrooms and suites, ranging from 350-900 square feet, are among the most spacious of San Francisco offerings, particularly for a historic hotel. The sleek design exudes a feeling of warmth with rich woods punctuated by vibrant colors that reflect the energy of the city outside. Luxe linens, HD flatscreen TVs, iHome docking stations, Wi-Fi Internet and in-room honor bars makes guests feel like VIPs, not to mention convenient access to the hip bar, The Mortimer, located just downstairs.
In an effort to meet the needs of San Francisco’s corporate groups and convention clientele, additional meeting space was incorporated into Hotel Adagio’s renovation. The meeting space expansion, coupled with a redesign of the hotel’s penthouse level suites allows guests to buyout the entire Floor 16, which includes three guestrooms, two luxury suites, two meeting rooms with an expansive outdoor terrace featuring stunning San Francisco views. With the renovation completion, the property will feature over 5,500 square feet of meeting space in total, with numerous indoor/outdoor entertaining options.
