POMPANO BEACH, Fla.
Groundbreaking is slated for Wednesday afternoon on a new Marriott oceanfront resort in Pompano Beach, Fla., a 219-room hotel set to open next summer, according to various reports.
The property is located at 1208 North Ocean Boulevard, just south of the 14th Street Causeway in Pompano Beach.
City officials have said the resort will bring much-needed meeting space to the community, attracting weddings, conferences and other events.
The new property will reside on the site of the former Ocean Point Beach Resort, demolished to clear space for the Marriott. Slated to be finalized by July 2013, the new hotel will showcase 219 rooms, a conference space, restaurant, pool, ballroom, spacious event deck and more.
