McLEAN, Va.
MPI will host two sessions at HSMAI’s MEET National—the meeting and event-planning industry show focused on meetings, events, education and technology—Sept. 5 and 6 in Washington, D.C. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
As part of the partnership between HSMAI and MPI announced in July, MPI provides education for meeting planners at select HSMAI events, and HSMAI provides its training and professional development for sales and marketing professionals at MPI events. The first activation of the partnership took place at MPI’s World Education Congress (WEC) in St. Louis in July, where HSMAI hosted two tracks entitled, “Hotel Sales Giants Talk About What’s Keeping Them Up at Night” and “ Sales and Revenue Management: Managing the Relationship.”
MPI’s hosted sessions at HSMAI’s MEET National will include “Strategic Meetings Management (SMM): Working from the Planner’s Side of the Equation,” and “Creating a Web of Influence.” MPI members at HSMAI’s MEET National also will receive VIP invitations to a private desert reception with keynote speaker Janine Driver, also attended by Certified Meeting Professionals (CMP).
HSMAI’S MEET National will also feature educational opportunities through HSMAI’s MEET University, an interactive educational program led by industry experts with two full days of more than 40 educational offerings; one-on-one meeting opportunities through HSMAI’s TEEM Up, a reverse tradeshow structure that allows relevant supplier partners to meet with interested attendees; personalized assistance from HSMAI’s MEET Concierge, who can schedule appointments with various vendors and suppliers based on personal business needs; and an online tool, HSMAI’s MEET On, which allows networking and educational enrichment throughout and beyond the two-day conference.
