Gregg M. Mervis was named president and CEO of the Akron/Summit CVB and of the 123,000-square-foot John S. Knight Center.
After holding various positions at the Quaker Hilton & Mill in Akron, Mervis joined the CVB in 1993 as director of sales, was named vice president in 1997 and chief operation officer in 2008.
He has been serving as interim president since February.
