ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.
District, a New York City-themed burger restaurant, has opened inside nightclub Providence Atlantic City. The restaurant, which is located on the premises of Tropicana Casino and Resort, is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8pm until 5am.
Owner and operator of Metronome Hospitality Group, Robert Pereira, created District to be a good fit for club-goers who are looking for a bite to eat after usual restaurant hours. The urban establishment, which is inspired by New York City’s Meatpacking District, aims to offer on-the-go menu items that are creatively packaged and easy to carry out. Menu prices range from $4 for sides to $12 for a variety slider 3-pack.
The inspiration for District came from Pereira’s past experience of growing up in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, once filled with slaughterhouses and packing warehouses, and now home to one of NYC’s trendiest nightclub scenes. Cobblestone walkways, sewer cap tabletops, and a 36-foot cityscape montage are just a few design details drawing nightlife customers in for a burger. The location has already enticed several notable patrons, including the cast of MTV’s The Guy Code, and Vinny from Jersey Shore.
