ATLANTA
Emory Conference Center Hotel, Atlanta's first LEED-Silver Certified sustainable Conference Center Hotel, announced the completion of the renovation of its International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) meeting facility. The extensive renovation of the 32,000-square-foot meeting facility includes the rebuilding of the 240-seat Emory auditorium/amphitheater and the 74-seat Oak amphitheater, as well as updating its state-of- the-art multimedia connections and wireless internet. In addition, all of the Conference Center meeting space including the ballroom has been refurbished with new carpeting, soundproof wall coverings, new breakout areas for refreshments, and new restrooms.
The Emory Conference Center Hotel also has a new neighbor, Emory Point—a mixed-use community that includes a variety of shops and dining venues in walking distance to the hotel.
Emory Conference Center Hotel is in the Emory Forest on the Campus of Emory University on 26 acres of forest preserve, and practices sustainability in all facets of its operation. It employs a single-stream recycling unit, which centralizes all recycling and waste oils from the kitchens. The waste oils are converted in bio-diesel and then used as fuel for transportation at Emory University.
The Emory Conference Center Hotel is a full-service upscale property with 325 guestrooms and 32,000 square feet of conference space, inspired by the architectural design of Frank Lloyd Wright.
