Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa has completed upgrades throughout the resort, including the installation of a solar water heating system, re-tiling of the upper-deck swimming pool and the addition of web cameras for live online viewing from Medano Beach. All of these upgrades are part of a multi-million-dollar renovation currently underway at the five-year old resort.
The installation of 190 solar panels provides an eco-friendly water heating system for Casa Dorada’s swimming pools and the hotel’s general water supply. The solar system provides clean energy while taking full advantage of Baja’s predictably sunny year-round conditions.
The solar panels are part of the resort’s comprehensive environmentally friendly strategy that also includes programs such as “A Touch of Verde”, “Casa Verde,” and “Turtle Sanctuary Project” where guests are encouraged to participate in protecting Los Cabos’ sensitive ecosystem. Towel and linen reuse program, power control systems and now solar water heating all add to Casa Dorada’s efforts to create a green vacation experience for its guests.
While caring for the environment, Casa Dorada also continues to provide guests with superb service and amenities. Month-long renovation work on one of the resort’s swimming pools concluded earlier this month ensuring guests’ complete enjoyment, comfort and safety. New, high-speed low energy elevators have also been installed, also enhancing the guest experience.
Prospective guests now be able to get a glimpse of the paradise at Land’s End any time, via recently installed web cameras. Easily accessed through the Resort’s website—CasaDorada.com—the web cam system allows visitors to follow the action on Medano Beach and around the resort’s pool area.
