In Summer 2013, SFMOMA will undergo a $555 million renovation and expansion, doubling its exhibition and gallery space.
Exhibitions will run normally through 2012, including Six Lines of Flight: Shifting Geographies in Contemporary Art, featuring key artists from Beirut, Lebanon, Cali, Colombia, Cluj, Romania, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Tangier, Morocco and San Francisco.
While the expansion is taking place, the museum will run extensive off-site programs, such astravelling exhibitions and neighborhood festivals, and co-present major exhibitions with neighborhood museums.
