Orlando Property Unveils Upgrades

BayStar Hotel Group, LLC, a Tampa-based hotel development and management company, has unveiled its $3.5 million renovation of the Embassy Suites Orlando - North at 225 Shorecrest Drive in Altamonte Springs, Fla. All public areas, including the seven-story atrium, meeting/banquet rooms, restaurant, breakfast area, and lobby have been transformed with new carpeting and wall coverings along with modern lighting and bold colors.

Rich reds, burgundy shades, creams and tans replaced the pink and green of the past, marking the most striking change to the hotel. A resurfaced parking lot and new pavers in the Porte cochere lead to a friendly, state-of-the art welcoming center featuring three pod-style registration kiosks in keeping with the Embassy Suite’s new brand standards. The atrium’s new inviting seating area with plush, comfortable, high-backed chairs replaces a Greek-style “ruins” that once blocked the room’s view, providing an open, more modern look.

All guest suites were renovated. The Palm Building received new furniture, drapes and lighting, and King Suites throughout the 277-suite hotel underwent a bathroom renovation, replacing bathtubs with spacious, walk-in showers. New white-on-white duvets updated all guest suites.

The Omaha Steakhouse, located within the hotel atrium, received a complete update to emphasize its upscale casual positioning in the North Orlando steak house market.

“The recent renovation at the Embassy Suites Orlando - North enables the hotel to provide guests with superior accommodations and a highly satisfying stay overall,” said General Manager Bob Frobish, who noted that the hotel attracts a 50-50 mix of business and leisure guests.

Its setting in Uptown Altamonte with its luxury residences, shopping, fine dining, office condos, city park, and amphitheatre makes it pleasant for guests who can walk to these amenities. There is also a mile-long walking/jogging trail around Cranes Roost Lake in front of the hotel, and the lake sets the stage for events like the upcoming Light Up the Holidays in Uptown Altamonte, the popular fireworks display “Red Hot & Boom” held on July 3rd, art festivals and similar events.

“Many of our suites offer a lake view,” Frobish added. “Our spacious suites continue to appeal to guests by affording more space to work and relax than the average one-room hotel accommodations.”

Embassy Suites Orlando - North has 277 spacious, two-room suites, including five “conference room” suites with boardrooms instead of traditional living rooms. It features 7,100 square feet of meeting/party space with catering by the on-site Omaha Steak House, which also handles the hotel’s suite service.

The hotel provides a 24-hour business center, audio/visual equipment rental and free WIFI, along with some unusual business services, including a notary public, and a Concierge Kiosk with complimentary printing service. There is also a car rental service, ATM and gift shop inside the hotel. In addition to the indoor heated swimming pool and fitness center, the hotel provides guests free access to the nearby LA Fitness gym. Pets are welcome, and a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast and evening manager’s reception round out the guest experience. The service of alcohol is subject to state and local laws.

Established in 1984, Embassy Suites Hotels offer a full-service, upscale hotel experience.
