MADISON, Wis.
The new owner of the Hotel formerly known as Clearwaters Hotel in Marshfield, Wis., is taking steps to reopen the hotel in spring 2013. That announcement was made jointly by Marshfield Hospitality, LLC, the owners and IDM Group, LLC, Madison, Wis., the hotel consulting firm hired by the owner to assist with the redevelopment of this hotel.
Marshfield Hospitality acquired the property back in May at a sheriff’s auction. The hotel closed its doors at the beginning of year after going into foreclosure. The property has 103 rooms, expansive meeting and banquet space, an indoor and outdoor pool, restaurant and lounge. Currently the reopening plan calls for renovation of the rooms with some extended stay suites also being considered. The restaurant is set to undergo a transformation as well. The meeting space, considered among the best in the region, will be updated. The hotel will also be renamed. The search is already underway for a general manager and director of sales.
When reopened, this independently owned, mid-scale meeting hotel is expected to attract wedding celebrations, corporate travelers, groups, special events, reunions and family vacationers. Its south side location near the new Hwy. 10 bypass will make it especially convenient to access.
