Neil Fiorito, Magnificent Mile Courtyard Marriott - Chicago

What service can you provide to groups that they normally might not receive?

The service that I provide to our guests at the Courtyard Marriott Magnificent Mile is “Neil’s News!” This weekly feature keeps you informed of Chicago’s events and restaurants. I’m Neil and I like to keep you up-to-date and happy.

What are your bar or nightclub recommendations?

As far as nightlife, I enjoy The Back Room, Red Head Piano Bar, Howl at The Moon, and Buddy Guy’s Legends.

Can you recommend a good place to take a stroll?

The Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, Navy Pier and Chicago’s Lakefront are all great places to take a stroll.

Are there any quirky places we should check out?

If you are looking to visit some quirky Chicago places, then check out Billy Goat Tavern, Ed Debevics, and The Wieners Circle.  Also, great places to eat.

What is an unusual request from a group you’ve had?

I’ve had many UNUSUAL requests, but the one that sticks out had to be the time a woman asked if she could have her friend take a picture of her getting a piggy-back ride on me. I’m thinking it had to be a scavenger hunt of some kind, but I didn’t ask questions. I’m here for the guests.

A party of 12 wants to have dinner right away. What restaurant can accommodate last-minute requests of this size?

If a party of 12 or more needs dinner right away, I will always recommend Viand!  This American Kitchen is located next door to our hotel. Other restaurants include Weber Grill, Volare, and Carson’s Ribs. These are some of my favorites.

What’s a unique event that has taken place at your property?

A unique experience that I’ve witnessed here at the Courtyard was the time when the cast and crew from Abby and Brittany’s Conjoined Twins reality show stayed overnight.  They filmed on location in Chicago, and I was able to get a cameo on it.
