The Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) announced that Horseshoe Cincinnati has been granted a public opening date of Monday, March 4, 2013. Construction at the site, which began in February 2011, is in its final stages. “We expect final work inside and out to wrap up next month,” said Steve Rosenthal, a principal of Rock Gaming and a leader on the design and construction team. “To date, more than 2,000 construction workers have contributed to make this development a first-class destination,” he said.
Located in the heart of the city, Horseshoe Cincinnati will offer extensive meeting and event facilities, services and amenities for groups of all sizes. The property will boast 33,000 square feet of flexible banquet space, including two large configurable venues divisible into as many as 11 individual rooms. The largest venue is the 19,000-square-foot Horseshoe Ballroom, which can accommodate nearly 2,000 guests. In addition, the River Room features glass exterior walls that provide spectacular city views for up to 450 participants. The banquet space includes access to the outdoor City View Terrace overlooking the Cincinnati skyline and the casino’s urban plaza which will host concerts and live shows.
Event planners can also look forward to diverse dining offerings including Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, a large buffet and three additional distinctive restaurants, as well as several bar and lounge options. On-site valet and self-parking is available for guests in the casino’s attached parking structure.
