OSHKOSH, Wis.
The Oshkosh Premier Waterfront Hotel, formerly the City Center Hotel, will reopen in April, following a $15 million overhaul that includes a skywalk to the convention center.
The hotel now offers 176 revamped river-view hotel rooms with upgraded amenities including microwaves, refrigerators and 42” flat screen HDTVs. Guests can also enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast before attending their meetings, free wireless Internet and a business center conveniently located in the lobby. It is the only hotel in the area located on the water complete with docks to provide access to the Fox River and Lake Winnebago.
A quick trip across the skywalk unveils 24,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space customizable to groups from five to 1,200.
The top-tier hotel and convention center combination is expected to potentially bring thousands more people to downtown Oshkosh every week, supporting retail stores, restaurants, museums and galleries at a level not possible before the renovation.
