New IACC Approach Focuses on the Meeting Experience

The International Association of Conference Centres—which has long focused its membership standards on a set of universal facility criteria—is now making a move towards greater emphasis on the overall meeting experience, according to President and CEO Mark Cooper.

"Defining the IACC Meetings Experience was a vital first step for IACC [of this new approach],” says Cooper. “IACC recognizes that there are a number of vital components that make a great meeting experience, some physical and some service-orientated.”

IACC now aims to focus on the following four factors in order to create the most successful meetings possible at their numerous member facilities around the world:

Productive Outcomes

Through collaboration, we help customers achieve outcomes from their meetings that improve the performance of their organisation. IACC has pioneered solutions such as interactive audio-‐visual, flexible CMP Pricing and integrated design elements that contribute to the world’s best meeting environments operated by our members in 14 countries.

Quality Standards

A condition of acceptance to become an IACC member requires a commitment to IACC’s Quality Standards that cover a range of best practices in the areas of the physical environment, and the services and support we provide. These standards ensure that wherever in the world you go, you will enjoy the same quality meeting experience at an IACC member property.

Transparent Pricing

IACC developed the Complete Meeting Package to make it easier for planners to budget. There are no surprises at the end of the meeting as these economical packages incorporate catering, technology, event planning, meeting rooms and accommodation.

Shared Values

IACC members and the communities and customers they serve, have many shared values of corporate social responsibility across the environment, workplace health and safety, equality and justice.
